A huge congratulations to our staff who have completed their Display Screen Equipment (DSE) training. 🏆🥳
DSE checks ensure a person’s workstation is optimally set up for all tasks. Incorrect DSE setup could lead to the following symptoms/work-related disorders:
- Aches and pains in the hands, wrists, neck, arms, and shoulders.
- Repetitive strain injuries (RSI)
- Fatigue
- Eye Strain
- Back Ache
Here are a few simple things to remember to avoid this and ensure your workstation is set up correctly:
- Position your screen at least an arm’s length away
- Ensure your feet are flat on the floor
- Check your eyes are level with the top of your screen
- Make sure all keyboard symbols are legible to avoid eye strain
- Adjust your chair to ensure lumbar support rests at the lower back
